Hi alsa volks,

I have a soudcard that is a little crappy but works with the oss esssolo1 driver. I
thought I could get bettet results with alsa drivers so I compliled and installed
modules and utilities.
The drivers load but on "/etc/init.d/alsa start" I get the message:
"No /etc/sbin/alsactl for alsa 0.5"

I read a little documentation and tried "alsactl store".
The same Error comes up.

I'm on Debian sid. I installed it "the Debian way".

Any advice?

Greetings
Roman
