Hi,
I am quite desperate... I have an board with an Ensonic 1373 chipset and
analog audio is working fine with the kernel module from the 2.4.19
kernel and ALSA snd-ens1371. In the soundcard matrix at alsa-project.org
I read that the left analog channel can be switched to digital output
(spdif). With the kernel module es1371.o I can do this very easily by
adding "option es1371 spdif=1" to the modules.conf.
But how do I activate the digital output when I want to use the alsa
driver?????? I tried "alsactl store" but I could see nothing about spdif
or something like that in /etc/asound.conf. I know that it works, but I
donīt know how. If anyone has an idea, please let me know.

Greetings Helge.
