Hi Mathy and alsa-users, Thanks for the reply!
I've tried your modules.conf and I still have the same issues. It works sporadically, but I still get the same "device or driver busy" error message for xmms and realplayer. I get system sounds under KDE (backspace beeps etc) I can play audio CDs, but sound editors and players seem to have a hard time. I've never been able to record sound (which is one of the main things I'm pushing for here) I added the sound-slot/sound-service/1,2,3 lines because I was getting a complaint in var/log/messages about these being missing. I recompiled the drivers w/ debug=full but I get no further messages in the syslog. I'm hoping you (or someone) can lend some further insight into this. Thanks Again for your reply! Talk to You Soon... John E. A. p.s. I was just in .be recently, Brussels specifically. A beautiful country. I saw a game played in the central plaza that I just couldn't identify. Two teams engaged in throwing a ball back and forth at each other. Any help you could offer on that would also be greatly appreciated! Mathy Vanvoorden wrote: > On Thu, 2002-08-29 at 09:40, John E.
