Hi, I have installed the newest ALSA-rpm's from SuSE (according to SuSE's alsa-project maintainer newer than the official 0.9.0rc3-release) but can not record sound with my working mike anyway.Soundcard and microphone were successfully tested on seperate machine. Several hardware tests and tests with alsamixer did not report any problems, but "cat dev/dsp" shows no sound. I would be very kind, if someone could give me help. After four weeks of testing and searching for the cause, I have no idea anymore. My OS: SuSE 8.0 with SB128PCI(ens1370)
