After checking the archives I saw indications this error was fixed in cvs after rc1. I tried rebuilding with the rc3 debian source package, and it seems to work. So I think the problem is solved.
rc3 also took care of the other compiler errors/warnings I reported. However, there was one remaining error: make[4]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/kernel/modules/alsa-driver/usb' /sbin/depmod -a -b /usr/local/src/kernel/modules/alsa-driver/debian/tmp/ 2.4.19 depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /usr/local/src/kernel/modules/alsa-driver/debian/tmp//lib/modules/2.4.19/alsa/snd.o make[3]: [install-modules] Error 1 (ignored) Somehow the error seems to have disappeared between that point and the final installation of the package. If anyone can explain that, I'd love to know what''s going on. ------------------------------------------------------- In remembrance www.osdn.com/911/ _______________________________________________ Alsa-user mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/alsa-user
