The 9636 has 2 ADAT ports + s/pdif. I own that one. The 9652 is (I think) the same card, with another device that fills a second slot, giving you another ADAT port + word clock support. See the RME site for specifics, but this is what I remember when I purchased mine.
I believe that a 9636 user can purchase the extra little device to bring himself up to the 9652 level.
