Hi, Need help, I have read all the docs that come with the SuSE 8.0 updated 0.9rc3 of alsa, but it was not written for mortals or at least it's no where near plain english, I could just about understand the 0.5.xx version of asound.conf but the new layout of asound.state has me bamboozled.
The question is simple - try if you do answer to keep it in plain english. How do I setup for AC3/DTS passthru from DVD-ROM to the spdif optical/coaxial outputs of my Hoontech i-Phone Digital XG soundcard (YMF-754 chipset), stereo works fine via optical out. Hope you can help.
