Phil, We've seen some folks improve this by paying close attention to what interrupt their audio card is on, assuming you are on a single processor system. We have not tested SMP yet.
If you card is not on IRQ 9 or 10, can you get it there and take another look at this? Also, I am looking into what effects disk drive setup has on this right now.
