when do you think will this chip be suported then? Is there any way I can help to make

Yes I am using the rc5 version in wich the via8233 and via686 are merged to via82xx.
I tried the via8233 from the rc3 version too, but its the same, just repeating the 
firs few seconds, oder doing nothing.
I compile my kernel (2.4.19) with the soundoption turnd on, but I didn't select any 
special soundcard.
