Hello,
I posted this message a while ago, and got some pieces of information
which didn't solve the problem.
Ok, it is as following.
I compile the driver with the options kernel-dir (it finds it, no
trouble here) and snd-module (=fm801). Then, make;make install. After
that, I modifiy my "/etc/modutils/aliases" file by copy-pasting the
content of FM801's alsa installation page, and run "update-modules".
Everything is ok. I then must run "modprobe snd-fm801" and some other
modules. For every module I must do "modprobe", it cannot find it
("modprobe: cannot find module fm801...."). There's no dependecies
trouble ("depmod -a" has no answers). Also, I tried to run "modprobe
snd-fm801" in the directory where I had found the file "snd-fm801.o";
but it doesn't work.
Can someone help me ? Is it possible that the problem comes from Alsa
(which I think unprobable).
Many thanks,
Soriyath S.
