Hi everybody,
I know there are many posts about sound blaster pci 128, but I just
can't use my sound card, and I'm getting mad.
I'm using a debian testing release, with kernel 2.4.19 compiled by
myself, and with alsa drivers 0.9.0rc6 I compiled by myself.
After loading ALL the modules I need (snd-ens1371, snd-pcm-oss,
snd-mixer-oss, snd-seq-oss) without any problem, I can see the mixer
perfectly working, the cd-player going without any problem, BUT any
other sound utility (alsa-player, xmms, realplayer, mpg128, etc) just
blocks when trying to play. The same happened with free OSS modules and
the commercial demo didn't work either, but at least didn't block
progams).
In /etc/var/log/messages there are no messages, and lspci gives me the
following entry:

00:0d.0 Multimedia audio controller: Ensoniq ES1371 [AudioPCI-97] (rev
08)
Subsystem: Ensoniq Creative Sound Blaster AudioPCI64V,
AudioPCI128
Flags: bus master, slow devsel, latency 32, IRQ 12
        I/O ports at 9800 [size=64]
Capabilities: [dc] Power Management version 1

Note that IRQ is not 15 (I also tried 10, same result), and that
everything seems ok!).
Any idea that can help me?
Thank you very much for your help

 Alessandro
