Hi!
  There is 24/32bit support in alsa. I think you might try it with ecasound
(or ecaplay which is included in ecasound).
 If you want to play it with ecasound just do:
  ecasound -f:24,2,44100 -i my_file.wav -o /dev/dsp
  or:
  ecaplay my_file.wav
  Although I don't know, if ecaplay will recognise automatically. It should.
  If you don't wanna work in console-mode, I think there are a lot of
wav-file-players for the GUI. You might take a look at Dave Philips'
linux-audio-software site.
