I've been trying to get digital out to work with my onboard SIS7012 card
using the intel8x0 drivers.
I'm running a stock Redhat7.3 setup (kernel 2.4.18-18.7.x), and have
installed the ALSA drivers from tar balls (version 0.9.0rc6). The card
detects as: Avance Logic ALC200/200P rev 0. I've got the digi out
hooked up to my Cambridge Audio 2i DAC, which can accept anything up to
48KHz.
The setup works fine for analog out. But I can't get anything from the
spdif out (works under windows fine). Using alsa mixer I crank up
'IEC958 Playback AC97-SPSA' and unmute the 'IEC958' channels, but I
still get nowt through. Any ideas?
Here's some info from /proc/asound/SI7012/ac97#0
