I have a problem with the setup of the yamaha YMF-753-S soundchip in my sony grx-416-g notebook.
Alsa chooses the intel 8x0 driver, there are no error-messages, and all seems to work fine. However, when sounds are played, small fractions are repeated or the sound is muted. The only way to make sound "work" is to drive around with the USB-mouse. When I stop it, playing stops. When I move the mouse again, playing continues. However, this does not 'work' with the glide-pad (ps2) of my notebook. I will be happy about any help -- thanks in advance for your efforts!
