I'm lost trying to instal ALSA-0.9rc6 on SuSE 7.2.
./configure couldn't find my kernel source, and neither could I. In my
case it's due to ignorance. From trial and error, I figured out that if
I used the switch --with-kernel=/usr it would work.
Then when I tried make, I got a long error message telling me that I
needed to make a sym link to the kernel. I've tried a lot of different
combinations of things, and I can't figure out how to do it.
So, where is my kernel source, and how do I tell the program where to
find it? Or, alternatively, what does "install the package with full
kernel sources from your distribution" mean. I've got the disks for my
distribution. What should I look for?
Thanks. I hope this makes sense.
Greg
