Try going to /usr/src/linux and type `yes "" | make config` or such, that 
should fix the problem. If it doesn't, run `make dep` as well.

No, that shouldn't be a problem. Most things compile cleanly with GCC 3.2 now. 
In fact, there are some kernel patches that won't compile with 2.95.X 
anymore!
