Hi I have a sound blaster live card. I have the Alsa drivers working fine and I get play back for audio. I also can play a midi keyboard through the midi in and hear it as well as create notation in noteedit.
However in any midi program I get no midi playback. I have kalsaconnect, jack arts on my machine. I am using a pretty new version of Rosegarden 4 and I can't play midi files. Even from the command line I get no midi. It seems to me something isn't hooked up correctly, but I can't figure it out.
