I've got a rather old laptop, the souncard of which is based on an ESS ES1869. It works all right with the kernel-shipped sound driver, but only in half duplex mode.
I understand (I might be wrong though) that boards built around this chip can support full duples mode. If that is the case, do the latest ALSA drivers support it?
