I've got a rather old laptop, the souncard of which
is based on an ESS ES1869. It works all right with the
kernel-shipped sound driver, but only in half duplex
mode. 

   I understand (I might be wrong though) that boards
built around this chip can support full duples mode.
If that is the case, do the latest ALSA drivers
support it? More to the point, can anybody share
experiences using ALSA drivers on this chip?
