I am sure I am overlooking something stupid. I see no errors in my log files, and everything is installed correctly (I think). But I have no sound. I am using RedHat 8.0. I used the alsa RPMS from freshrpms.net. After install, I used aumix to adjust volumes. I installed the alsa plugin for xmms. And set it as my output filter. I tried both Gnome and KDE sounds apps. No luck.
