On Red Hat, at least, you can put: post-install snd-cs46xx /usr/sbin/alsactl restore pre-remove snd-cs46xx /usr/sbin/alsactl store in /etc/modules.conf and the alsactl commands will be run automatically for you any time the soundcard module is loaded or unloaded. Replase 'snd-cs46xx' with whatever module you are using, of course. --[Lance] -- Carolina Spirit Quest: http://www.carolinaspiritquest.org/ Celebrate The Circle: http://www.angelfire.com/nc/celebratethecircle/ ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.NET email is sponsored by: SourceForge Enterprise Edition + IBM + LinuxWorld = Something 2 See! http://www.vasoftware.com _______________________________________________ Alsa-user mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/alsa-user
