Hallo, I have a Edirol UA-20 USB audio device. I currently (have to) use alsa-rc6, configured according to:
http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-doc/doc-php/template.php3? company=Edirol&card=UA-20&chip=&module=usb-audio /proc/asound/cards shows it, I can play with alsaplayer and such, but I cannot hear anything!! I mean, *I* can hear very well, of course, but there's nothing coming out of my speakers. According to alsa-project.org, I should procede like that: "Now adjust your soundcards volume levels. All mixer channels are muted by default. You must use a native mixer program to unmute appropriate channels, for example alsamixer from the alsa-utils package. Note that some usb-audio devices do not have internal mixer controls." The UA-20 seems to fall into the latter case: "amixer scontrols" shows nothing, alsamixer won't start. Does anyone have an idea, how I could unmute this box? Thank you very much. -- Frank Barknecht _ ______footils.org__ ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ Alsa-user mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/alsa-user
