No, it's not next. I don't have my Quattro yet, but I explicitly asked here and on pd-list, if the firmware stuff is needed on it as well, and I got the answer, that it is not once by ALSA developer Clemens Ladisch and about four times by users. So just configure a standard snd-usb-audio card as described on alsa-project.org/alsa-doc/ and you're set.
