Hi!
I'm new to the list (and a new alsa user too). I've decided to use alsa
because the default driver (trident) for my sigmatel STAC9766/67 audio card
doesn't work fine: The volume is fixed and it is very low, even though
changing the mixer values.
I had lots of problems to use snd-ali5451, the first was when loading the
module, there was an error but lsmod showed the module as (initializing), the
module couldn't be removed and the system hanged when halting. I tried many
times with diferent kernel compilations and getting different errors, until I
decided to keep the kernel (2.4.19-24mdk) and compile the last driver.
Now there are no errors, but there is no sound, I've used alsamixer to
change mixer values, but it is the same. I've tried different combinations in
my modules.conf file without result. Also I have a standard asound.conf file.
Does anybody have an idea of what I am missing? above appears my
modules.conf file. I don't know if all the lines are necessary.
