Hello,

its in libasound2-dev which is only available in unstable distribution!
(Have a look at http://www.debian.org/distrib/packages#search_contents)

but i would suggest you to install only alsa-base and compile the
source files available on the alsa homepage (configure them with
./configure --prefix=/usr) if you have gnuc installed, as debian
is usually far away from the newest version
