It happens with me using either xmms or mpg123, every time a new song is loaded (so it stops writing to /dev/dsp and starts again) no sound is heard. PCM Volume shows 95% and unmuted. If I mute and unmute or raise or lower the volume it sounds again. It does the same doing it by hand (cat /whatever/wavfile >/dev/dsp). Any hints ?
I have a Travelmate 720tx notebook with a Neomagic 256AV video and sound board.
