lspci -n gives "00:11.5 Class 0401: 1106:3059 (rev 50)"
lspci translates that as "00:11.5 Multimedia audio controller: VIA Technologies, Inc.
VT8233/A/8235 AC97 Audio Controller (rev 50)"

I'm using kernel 2.4.20, and the snd-via82xx module loads,
but I get a bunch of "ALSA ../alsa-kernel/pci/via82xx.c:503: codec_valid: codec 0 is
not valid [0xfe0000]"
errors. If I try to play sound, the sound program acts like
it's playing, but very slowly, and no sound is produced.

For what it's worth, the via82cxxx_audio module refuses to
load, with a -ENODEV. I put some extra printks in my
snd-via82xx, and I can see that it's picking up the same IRQ
and memory ranges as Windows XP does (which works fine,
BTW). Any ideas?
