I have A slackware 8.1 updated to kernel 2.4.21. I compiled it with sound support as a module. Then downloaded alsa-driver configured and installed. I have a VIA VT8235 card integrated in the motherboard (an ABIT KD7).
Sound works ok except for MIDI. I cannot get it to work. I compiled the midi plugin for xmms and it works ok. I see the progress bar moving and the oscilloscope oscillating, but no sound.

In alsamixer there isn't any midi, synth or sequencer bar. Maybe I have to specify some option loading the module?
