Hello list, I'm having a problem with a recently installed EWS88MT. The audio seems to work fine, but controlling the DAC/ADC gain or IPGA doesn't work as one could expect. The problem occurs with both envy24control and some simple test programs I wrote using the ALSA snd_ctl_* interface.
When trying to change the DAC/ADC gains with envy24control, the signal is switched on and off at seemingly random positions of the slider. Also, the second channel in an even/odd pair is affected in the same way. Trying to set the IPGA usually sends the card into a spasm it doesn't recover from without a power cycle. System verison here is 2.4.20 (SuSE 8.2) and ALSA 0.9.0.cvs20030217-23. I haven't seem traces of a similar problem in the list archives.
