Hi, I'm trying to get sound working on my Compaq Armada M700. Everything seems to work fine with the es1968 driver except recording. Some utilities work (arecord, brec, rec (sox)) but produce sound files with regular bursts of noise (dropouts?). Other utilities (sweep, audacity, snd, kerecord) fail silently, or crash, or hang the machine.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! I'll include below some information about my setup.
