A long time ago, there was discussion of a generic interface for DMA wavetable engines that did some things like automatic uploading and conversion of various soundbank formats. I remember it was in reference to a YMF card, but the interface could be applied to any card that has a WT engine and uses DMA to play samples from system memory (as opposed to cards like GUS/AWE32 with their local memory). Was there any work ever done along these lines? I lost track of the discussion. :) -- Ryan Underwood, <nemesis at icequake.net>, icq=10317253 ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ Alsa-user mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/alsa-user
