Hi,

I am having a problem with alsa and my SBLive. I have a system with two
cards - an SBLive and a Delta66. Things worked fine until I enabled the
HPT372 controller on my Abit KR7A133, now I get an error when I try
modprobe snd-emu10k1:

/lib/modules/2.4.22-1.2115.nptl/kernel/sound/pci/emu10k1/snd-emu10k1.o:
init_module: No such device
Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters,
including invalid IO or IRQ parameters.
You may find more information in syslog or the output from dmesg
/lib/modules/2.4.22-1.2115.nptl/kernel/sound/pci/emu10k1/snd-emu10k1.o:
insmod
/lib/modules/2.4.22-1.2115.nptl/kernel/sound/pci/emu10k1/snd-emu10k1.o
failed
/lib/modules/2.4.22-1.2115.nptl/kernel/sound/pci/emu10k1/snd-emu10k1.o:
insmod snd-emu10k1 failed

I suspect an IRQ problem, but have moved the cards around and changed
IRQs in the bios, but to no avail. Here is my lspci -vv for the SBLive:

And my cat /proc/interrupts.

 15: 10252 XT-PIC ide1
NMI: 0
ERR: 0

As you can see, the ICE1712 module works fine. I tried recompiling
(0.9.8), and there were no errors, but still the same problem when
trying the modprobe. I thought perhaps a conflict on IRQ5 with the ide2
(HPT372), and moved the cards around, but the ICE1712 ran fine sharing
that IRQ, and the emu10k1 still didn't load. I am running Fedora Core
1, but the problem also exists with Slackware 9.1 running on the same
machine. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks for any help.

Best Regards,

Scott
