I have just installed a Hammerfall Lite with alsa 0.9.6 compiled from the debian source package. All files with a 44.1k sample rate play back too fast. This includes sound files, CDs and streaming audio playing through a variety of audio software, using alsa natively or oss emulation. 48k seems ok, though.
I am using an external D/A converter which receives its clock speed from the Hammerfall. Shouldn't the card adjust to rate of the sound file? This must be a configuration issue. Can someone please suggest where I look to fix this? Documentation? Which configuration files?
