Hi,

I compiled alsa for my AC-97 card (snd-via82xx) under Fedora Core 1. As
I always had problems with modprobing the compiled drivers I found out
the workaround by touching /include/workqueue.h before make.

The drivers did compile successfully (as documented on the alsa-page for
my soundcard) and I could modprobe them without any error.
But insmod never worked.

it gave out this error message:
/sbin/insmod snd-via82xx

Next problem is that the alsasound script in /etc/init.d tries to probe
the wrong card, not my snd-via82xx.
So after:
./alsasound stop
/sbin/modprobe snd-via82xx
/sbin/rmmod snd-via82xx
/sbin/insmod snd-via82xx

it works. :S

Has anyone tips where I should start with to fix this problem ?

Thanx a lot

Holger
