well, he built the driver into kernel, so module options are not
helpful.

the boot paramter for emu10k1 can be given like
        snd-emu10k1=1,0,emu,4,64
but unfortuantely, there is no boot parameter for enable_ir yet.
it will be fixed in the next release.


btw, why don't you use modules?  what merit?
