Hello to all I'm using a Toshiba Satellite Pro 4300 with onboard the Yamaha YMF744B soundcard. As OS, I'm using Debian GNU/Linux unstable.
I tried to compile the alsa drivers from source and all worked fine except from midi. Playing midi files, no sound can be heard. For example, the KDE application KMid starts and works fine without complaining but no sound can be heard. Any suggestions? In the alsa documentation page for my soundcards <http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-doc/doc-php/template.php?company=Yamaha&card=&chip=YMF744&module=ymfpci> I found this note: "Known bugs - pcm playback is not audible on toshiba tecra8100.
