greetings and happy new year!
maybe someone had this before?!:
I try to record with my old zoltrix/nightingale CMIPCI 8738(33)
via digital-in (toslink) with ardour...
seems to be no problem when I use
arecord -Dhw:0,2 (as mentioned somewhere in the archive) or if I use
jackd (...) -d hw:0,2 -C (just capturing)
just a shot in the dark: i read about some probs in jackd's option parsing code. maybe try the long option "--capture".

--capture works fine..but thats not exactly the problem i need -D (duplex) option enabled!
btw: toggling mmap_emulation in .asoundrc doesnot work either i am ending up with a similar problem:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] root]# jackd -R -d alsa -d cmipci -r 44100 -S
jackd 0.92.0
