Here's an update:
Someone suggested I need to update my kernel with the BK stuff first before I apply the aforementioned patch. Therefore, I started again with a fresh kernel, and instead of using the bk patch from the ALSA ftp, I just took the latest stuff from alsa-driver-1.0.0rc2 and integrated it into my 2.6 kernel source (ignoring the oss folder and copying the includes).


The noise is still there though. =/
