The card was > recognized immediately. > > ALSA ../../alsa-kernel/pci/rme9652/hdsp.c:5061: Firmware already > loaded, initializing card. after thinking about it, i doubt that it's a similar problem ... my hdsp won't work after i boot the machine ... i'll have to do a _modprobe ds_ to get the pcmcia driver working, which recognizes the hdsp and loads the snd-hdsp module. but hdspmixer and hdspconf won't recognize the card until i run _alsasound restart_ ... (i'm not sure about hdsploader right now) ...
