I have a problem with ALSA 0.9.8 on Debian sarge with Kernel 2.4.24 and a SB Live 5.1
When I play mp3s with xmms I have got a bad sound quality, it sounds like and old radio.
I already changed the xmms output plugin to 'ALSA 1.2.8' but with no effect.
I installed the ALSA modules with the debian howto on the ALSA website.
In /etc/modules I load 'soundcore' and the remaining modules in /etc/alsa/modutils/0.9
Does anybody know what's wrong?
