Yes, I belatedly noticed a message that mentioned that on the ALSA i810
page. Since I am mostly using freevo on that box (using my TV as a
display), and that freevo mostly uses mplayer, I ended up adding the
'-srate 48000' option to the mplayer args in the freevo config files.

Still, using that chipset has proved a major PITA, and I'm wondering
whether to buy a cheap SB with SPDIF output :)
