There I read: Linux 2.6.1 The Audiophile doesn't load at all with Linux 2.6.1. kernlog contains Jan 22 10:06:44 joey kernel: hub 2-0:1.0: new USB device on port 2, assigned address 4 Jan 22 10:06:44 joey kernel: drivers/usb/core/config.c: invalid alternate setting 4 for interface 5 Jan 22 10:06:44 joey kernel: usb 2-2: can't read configurations, error -22 ... which seems to mean, that you won't get any further along because the strict specification checking kernel 2.6 has introduced breaks any chances for supporting the Audiophile USB, as it broke the already working (on 2.4) Quattro and probably *a lot* of other USB audio devices. This is a bad mofo Pandora's box, we're facing here: Is all USB-related documentation becoming invalid and has to be verified again? Now suddenly you cannot trust any older advise anymore on which USB-device will still work with 2.6. Hundreds of dollars/euros have been spend in vain. And I suddenly may start to hate Linux. Well, not really, but this really is not just inconvenient, it is a *catastrophe*. ciao -- Frank Barknecht _ ______footils.org__ ------------------------------------------------------- The SF.Net email is sponsored by EclipseCon 2004 Premiere Conference on Open Tools Development and Integration See the breadth of Eclipse activity.
