Hello all,

I appreciate your help. I already have the kernel compiled and installed
and have the source for the 2.6.2-rc2-mm1 kernel left in /usr/src/linux
... i attempted to specify --with-kernel=/usr/src/linux during the alsa
driver config and still got the
same result .. and grep'ing the kernel source tree for the right version.h
file only turned up a few unrelated version.h files. If it matters, im
using Slacware 9.1 . This alsa issue is the only problem im having
since upgrading to the 2.6 kernel series. Any further ideas?

thanks again.
