I am using alsa 1.0.1 on a Dell PowerEdge 2600 server. My sound card is Dela 1010. Jack version is 0.94.

I tried many kernel with/without low latency path (2.4.7 RH 7.2, 2.4.20 RH 8.0 or vanilla 2.4.23 with Andrew Morton patch). Same result; as soon as I start JACK server, it return many xrun errors.

I do not know where the problem comes from; I switch the system to "init 1" runlevel, disable all non-used drivers and deamons [except SCSI, EXT3 and ALSA]. Still the same result.

**** alsa_pcm: xrun of at least 0.008 msecs
**** alsa_pcm: xrun of at least 0.007 msecs
**** alsa_pcm: xrun of at least 0.007 msecs
**** alsa_pcm: xrun of at least 0.008 msecs

I also tried shuffling IRQ to 5, 10 and 11. I disabled the USB device via the DELL BIOS. Still the same problem.

Can it be related to PCI-X architecture? SCSI disk?

Info on my system:

PE2600, single CPU 2400MHz
7 PCI-X slots with 1 good old days 5 volts PCI
SCSI controler LSI MPTbase.o
BIOS version A10

jackd -Rd alsa -d hw -p64 -r32000 -n3

Thanks in advance!
