Hi there, I have installed SuSE 9.0 successfully on my r3000 laptop, and was told by Compaq tech support that it has an Intel-based chipset; I haven't been to ascertain for sure whether to use the intel8x0 driver or the via-based one... However, neither of those work, either compiled-in or as modules. Has anyone gotten sound to work on a recent Compaq laptop ? If so, I'd really appreciate any advice you can give.
