I have a Epia M10000 running with RedHat9. I installed latest alsa-drivers (1.0.3rc2), libs and tools. Everything is fine, i.e. mplayer -ao alsa9 plays back audio correctly. When I try to use 6 channel output (for example 'mplayer -ao alsa9 -channels 6 -af channels=6:6:0:0:1:1:0:2:1:3:0:4:1:5 file.mp3'), every 6 channels are used and are fine, too. BUT, using alsamixer to control volume is strange. Using the "PCM"-slider lets me control front- and rear-speakers. "Master" only controls the front-speakers. The center and subwoofer are not affected by this sliders. The problem is that I'd like to control the volume via a RC via freevo. In freevo I can configure one slider to be affected by VOL+, VOL-. But

you're lucky... I only have craps w/ this driver... I've opened a bug, take a look to see if you're problem cannot be in relation w/ mine, even if I don't think so.
