Hello all. I notice this issue has been discussed[1] somewhat late last year.
[1] http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/msg10120.html In January, a patch[2] was posted to alsa-devel that may fix the problem. [2] http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/msg10804.html I applied the patch and, sure enough, I was able to control the PCM volume whereas before I could either mute or unmute it only. However, the sound volume did not actually increase or decrease when I adjusted the PCM volume. I applied the patch to both 1.0.2 and 1.0.3-rc2 and copied the relevant files into my 2.6.4-rc1 kernel source tree. The compiles both went without incident. Does anyone know if there has been any further development on this front? Has anyone gotten this chipset working successfully either with a PCM volume patch (such as the above) or via some other output port for the chipset? Thanks. ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net is sponsored by: Speed Start Your Linux Apps Now.
