This card requires 24-bit samples. Use "-D plughw:0". > Playing around with different arguments doesn't solve it. > aplay -Ddefault Unreality2.wav The default behaviour for the "default" device is to act like plughw, but this may have been changed in your .asoundrc or asound.conf.
