[Alsa-user] BCM 94306

I have a compaq laptop that uses this chipset, which is according to 
ndiswrapper website supported. Yet I cannot install it correctly, I have 
tried many drivers, and some of them do turn on the wireless activity 
light on the laptop's case. In any case I cannot set the essid and 
cannot scan for aps with iwlist wlan0 scan. I get no error, just no 
results and the essid doesn't change according to iwconfig.

Please help me configure it on my system, it sounds like a trivial 
problem but I have been messing with it for over a week now without success.
