I managed to get sounds working perfectly with kernel 2.6.11 and alsa
1.0.9-rc4 with help of

(I'm having Intel 82891BA/BAM AC'97 Audio) but when I'm trying to
install alsa same way to 2.6.13.1, I get messages as:
.../*.ko needs unknown symbol class_simple_device_add
.../*.ko needs unknown symbol class_simple_device_destroy
.../*.ko needs unknown symbol class_simple_device_remove
Where .../*.ko is for example /lib/modules/2.6.13.1/kernel/sound/acore/snd.ko
Do you know is problem caused by alsa drivers or kernel?
