I should have mentioned that despite my ~/.asoundrc I have to launch snd with the command: $ SNDLIB_ALSA_DEVICE="hw:1,0" snd & ... to get snd to use device hw:1,0 at all. I just tried launching snd with the command: $SNDLIB_ALSA_DEVICE="plughw:1,0" snd & ... and it reverts to using my PC's internal sound card (albeit at the correct rate). Did you mean I should change my ~/.asoundrc in some way? sdt ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
